The International Business Traveling Seminar is designed for students interested in an academic and cultural experience in France, Morocco, and Spain. Students gain exposure to the diverse facets of international business while visiting countries at different stages of economic development. While in Europe and North Africa, students visit major multi-national organizations and locally-run businesses as well as meet with public officials responsible for economic policy in order to build a well-rounded understanding of the global market. Students have the opportunity to learn from and exchange their observations with experts from IAU as well as distinguished on-site scholars and local guides.
Students can choose one of the following courses:

- Business 325: International Business
- Marketing 325: International Marketing
- Economics 325: Doing Business in Europe

About the Professor
- France: Paris, Aix-en-Provence, and Marseille
- Morocco: Marrakesh, Casablanca, Rabat, and Tangier
Professor Catherine J. Darracq has taught International Business and Finance at IAU since 2015 and leads the International Business January Term Traveling Seminar. Darracq completed an MBA at the Stern Graduate School of Business Administration in New York in addition to an exchange program on Italian Economics and Investment Banking at the L’Università Commercial Luigi Bocconi in Milan, Italy. Her undergraduate degree hails from New York University where she studied International Relations, Economics, and French Literature. Darracq's professional experience includes business development projects spanning the globe, most recently in France, England, and Argentina. In addition, she has served at the following institutions: Commerzbank AG, GE Capital Structured Finance Group, The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, and Merrill Lynch. She is fluent in English and French and has a working knowledge of Spanish and Italian.
Students who enroll in a January Term Seminar and the spring semester in Aix-en-Provence consecutively will receive a $500 grant. Visit IAU's Scholarship website

Students participating in the International Business Seminar who also attend IAU for the Spring semester in Aix-en-Provence are encouraged to participate in the Early Start Program
the week of January 13-20, 2018. Students who attend both the J-Term and Spring semester can attend the Early Start Program for a reduced fee. The Early Start Program allows students to move in with their French hosts a week before the semester begins, receive French language instruction and participate in local cultural activities!
