Students from the School of Humanities & Sciences (H&S) are invited to participate in the ICNYC Program which is the core of the College’s presence in New York City. All juniors and seniors, regardless of major, are encouraged to apply. Second-semester sophomores will be considered if it makes sense academically.
H&S students have several options available when they study with the ICNYC Program. The core component of the ICNYC Program is the internship program; students are encouraged to take advantage of the limitless internship opportunities in NYC. Students will complete their internship(s), participate in the internship seminar, and take additional courses in order to remain a full-time student - at least 12-credits.
Additionally, H&S students have the option to complete an independent study while participating in the ICNYC Program. Students may decide to complete both an internship and an independent study in combination with other courses. In rare instances, students may be approved for only an independent study option when given prior approval by their department.
Students interested in applying for the ICNYC Program should apply online and should consult with their academic advisor prior to submitting their application materials. More information may be found at the H&S ICNYC website
