About the January Term
Offering intensive language work at both the intermediate and advanced levels, this 3 1/2 week term is designed to be taken on its own or as preparation for the Spring Semester Program.
It is ideal for students who have been away from the study of Spanish for some time, or want additional language preparation before entering the Spanish Studies or Integrated Studies programs. Also offered in Spanish is SPAN 312J - Foundations of Spanish Culture, which may be taken for graduate credit.

Live the sevillano lifestyle while earning course-credit through Spanish Studies Abroad Winter Term program. Seville, a beautiful and ancient city, is known for its winding Moorish streets, Renaissance gardens, grand architecture, and flamenco.
Winter Term
The Winter Term offers students the option use their winter break to discover Seville while living in a homestay and taking a language or culture course for 4 university-level credits. Courses are taught in Spanish, and students benefit from the cultural guidance and academic support of the dedicated Spanish Studies staff. Cultural activities and excursions enhance immersion and help students discover the magic of life in Spain.

Program Goals:
The goal of the Winter Term is to guide you to live as a member of sevillano culture, while gaining a profound understanding of your surroundings. Courses designed for your academic needs and access to language exchanges, cultural resources, workshops, and activities allow you to more fully integrate into life in Seville.
Program Inclusions:
Spanish Studies Abroad program fees include tuition, room & board, meals, support of the onsite Spanish Studies staff, pre-departure support, laundry, day and local study visits, cultural activities, orientation, health insurance, computer access, and a Spanish Studies transcript. Optional trips and activities are also available through Spanish Studies Abroad.
Prerequisite:
Minimum 3.0 GPA in Spanish coursework (when applicable).
