Program Description:
Univ of ValenciaIthaca College has an exchange agreement with the University of Valencia.  Admission to exchange programs is fairly competitive, as there are a limited number of spaces available each semester (typically no more than 1 - 2 placements per exchange, per semester).  Occasionally an exchange will be closed in a given semester, with or without prior notice.

Founded in 1499, the University is one of the oldest academic institutions in Spain and one of the most prestigious universities in the country. The University has nearly 60,000 students and a wide range of course offerings suitable for almost any major.

The University of Valencia is made up of three main campuses:  The Burjasot-Paterna campus; the Blasco Ibañez campus; and the Tarongers campus.  These campuses offer undergraduate degrees, postgraduate courses, masters, and Ph.D. and programs in the areas of Arts & Humanities; Engineering; Sciences; Social Sciences; and Health Sciences.  The University also holds the Center for the Teaching of Languages, the University of Valencia Science Park, and the Confucius Institute of the University of Valencia (promoting Chinese language and culture) while offering diverse sport and cultural activities.

Public transportation (tube, bus, and streetcar service) is available at all three campuses for most of the day and will take you many different places within a matter of minutes. Since Valencia is a multicultural city with an amazing history, there is always something new for you to discover during your time there.

This program is specifically intended for students with advanced Spanish language skills. All courses are taught in Spanish and participants will be in classes with native Spanish speakers.
