Program Description:
Univ of TsukubaIthaca College has an exchange agreement with the University of Tsukuba.  Admission to exchange programs is fairly competitive, as there are a limited number of spaces available each semester (typically no more than 1 - 2 placements per exchange, per semester).  Occasionally an exchange will be closed in a given semester, with or without prior notice.

The University of Tsukuba was established in Tsukuba in 1973, however its origin was established in 1872 as a Normal School (later named Tokyo Higher Normal School).  With nine undergraduate schools and eight graduate schools, the University has a total student population of over 16,000, including over 2,500 international students.

Although Ithaca College students are welcome to enroll in any undergraduate courses at the University, only the courses offered through the International Student Center (ISC) are taught in English.  These courses are primarily language and culture based.
