Ithaca College maintains an exchange agreement with SRH University, allowing IC students to apply for study abroad during either the fall or spring semester. Students may choose from four locations: Berlin, Heidelberg, Dresden, or Hamburg. Admission to exchange programs can be competitive, as spaces are limited each semester (typically 1–2 placements per program). Occasionally, an exchange may be closed for a given semester, sometimes without prior notice. For the most up-to-date information on available spaces, contact the Office of International Programs.
The academic year at SRH University is organized into eight 5-week blocks. Students may take up to 8 ECTS credits per block, with exams scheduled at the end of each block.
Participants can begin their semester abroad at the start of any block and must remain for at least three blocks. This structure provides significant flexibility in planning the timing of study abroad. Ithaca College students typically begin in Block 8 and continue through Block 2.
